    Product Description

These teaspoons are 5” long and hand made in Kenya from sustainably harvested Teak wood.

ARTIST: Sara Agneta Muasya, a member of the Kamba tribe, finishes wooden spoons and bowls. She was born in Ukambani, Kituii district and attended Uguti Girls Secondary School. When she finished Form 4 she married in Machakos and had two children. She was working with a woman preparing spoons for sale in the Kigale market. The spoons are purchased from the carvers in a rough carved condition. The finishers sand, oil, bead, apply bone and finish a variety of spoons. After learning the trade, she went off on her own. Sara finished these spoons and added the colorful bead trim .

UTILIZATION: They are wonderful when you need just that small little gift that will be remembered. They are a great hostess gift, a thank you to those who do the little things that make your life sweeter. They are also wonderful in your own home for condiments, tea, coffee, and even in the M&M Dish.

CARE: You can wash them in soapy water but don’t let them soak. To keep the finish lustrous, oil with an edible vegetable oil.
