This small horn and bone condiment dish or salt pot is hand made in Kenya. Bone and horn from cows or camels is cleaned, batiked and carved into unique dishes. The cover is made to fit and a hand carved animal ornament is added for a handle. The tiny bone spoon is kept above the contents through a slit in the lid.

Product Description
This small horn and bone condiment dish or salt pot is hand made in Kenya. Bone and horn from cows or camels is cleaned, batiked and carved into unique dishes. The cover is made to fit and a hand carved animal ornament is added for a handle. The tiny bone spoon is kept above the contents through a slit in the lid.
Each is unique. This dish measures approximately 2″ in diameter and 1.1 inches high.
Solomon and a small group of workers can be found in a small shed on the outskirts of Nairobi. There they produce items from Brass, Horn and Bone. Small smelting fires and grinding wheels form and shape condiment dishes, bowls, small spoons, rings and bracelets.
No forms or assembly lines. Just each worker doing their part. This assures that though patterns are repeated no two items are ever exactly the same.
The condiment dishes are perfect for salt, pepper, chili pepper and other herbs and spices for use at the table. Picture your next pizza party and pass the rhino holding the Parmesan, the elephant holding the powdered garlic, and a giraffe with the salt.

Expanding Opportunities has the greater mission of increasing self-sufficiency through educational and charitable projects for people nationally and internationally.
